Srila Prabhupada had a wonderful system of management: He was organized and practical, he was punctual and responsible, and he was intelligent and fully surrendered to Lord Krishna. He had full faith in the Lord and depended on Him in all ways.
He accomplished so much because of these qualities, and because he took risks, that to a common observer would seem quite impractical. He often sent young inexperienced men, by themselves and with little to no resources, to foreign countries to open temples. And by the Lord’s grace they were successful. In this way he was able to spread the Krishna Consciousness Movement around the world in just 10 years.
Is it possible to duplicate that success? In his last days Srila Prabhupada asked one of his leaders if the movement would go on in his absence, to which that devotee responded that, by his grace it surely would. Prabhupada paused for some time and then responded: it can go on if there is intelligence and expert organization. Having studied Srila Prabhupada's management methods I have concluded that his organization was based on the principles he espoused and to which he demanded be followed.
In this section I present an organizational method that I believe is identical to that used by Srila Prabhupada. The principles have all been laid out by another fellow who, at the same time Srila Prabhupada was building his movement, was building a business. Taking gold from a filthy place there is much to learn here. The man is Dee Hock, the creator of the VISA credit card system. The principles he identified are called CHAORDIC. I believe that your time is well spent to hear about these principles, and I believe that our time will be well spent in learning to apply them to START THE HARE KRISHNA MOVEMENT AGAIN! Reading these pages will make it easier to understand how we have organized the DVS.
On the right side are the navigation links of this section. Hare Krishna.
I am asking you to take a new heart and try to cooperate with each other there. There is always some difference because we are not impersonalists, we are personalists and everyone is different. However we have our standard so everything must be conducted on the basis of Krsna Consciousness as I have taught it.
