Daiva Sangam is organized around clarity of shared purpose and stated principles
All nodes of the Daiva Sangam are self-organizing and self-governing in whole and in part, with guidance from an ABC, the Advisory Body Commission
The Daiva Sangam and its leadership exist to enable and serve their members
The power of the Daiva Sangam derives from the members, the periphery, and is unified from the core, the servant-leaders
The Daiva Sangam is structured to be durable in purpose and principle while allowing individual expression in form and function
The Daiva Sangam equitably distributes power, rights, responsibility and rewards
The Daiva Sangam members are encouraged to learn, adapt and innovate in the application of the principles, while sticking to the principles
The Daiva Sangam has no obvious headquarters, no glittering center of power, no centralized command. It is a decentralized system that exists based on commitment to dharma, established principles that are shared everywhere.
There is no personal ownership of the resources of the Daiva Sangam. There is only shared property (with qualification) and shared responsibility.
Each chapter of the Daiva Sangam is self-organizing and self-governing.
The Daiva Sangam is controlled from the bottom-up, not the top-down, based on application of clearly stated principles
The Daiva Sangam insists on freedom of expression. Leadership of the Daiva Sangam is selected by the followers in terms of who they choose to follow. There is no official leadership.
The Daiva Sangam rejects institutional organization. It is a non-institution that places authority in persons of ability instead of placing authority and power in a seat or position that unqualified people may fill. In this way it may not be co-opted by persons of devious intentions.
Daiva Sangam rejects the hierarchical command and control structure that thwarts individual expression and growth, providing a wholesome environment for individual spiritual development and growth
Daiva Varnashrama Sangam gives a place to persons of ability to use their talents in Sri Krishna’s service without inhibition by others
Daiva Varnashrama Sangam makes provision for differences of opinion in that each leader may make adjustments in application of the principles while staying true to the principles; that is, different strokes for different folks, united on the fundamental basis of harinam sankirtan and Daiva Varnashrama with individual adjustments in terms of application
The Daiva Sangam employs and teaches the Daiva Varnashrama social structure, rejecting the ways and means of modern society
The Daiva Sangam follows the traditional ideals and siddhanta of Gaudiya Vaishnavas without compromise with the atheistic, materialistic society, and without compromise with apa-siddhanta concepts
The Daiva Sangam focuses on the goal of the Gaudiya Vaishnava sampradaya – attainment of prema bhakti, placing all other activities in their proper place of serving this end
The Daiva Sangam offers a place to those who will follow its tenets providing a hospitable environment for their spiritual development
The Daiva Sangam uses a non-organizational structure following a set of openly-stated ideals that anyone with initiative may apply in their local setting, and to which anyone may compare the ideas/actions/behavior of others assisting them to strive for the ideal.
The Daiva Sangam requires all leaders to maintain the ideological purity and personal integrity in order to maintain their position. The local members of the sangam have the power to remove wayward leaders. The ABC does not have such power.
The Daiva Sangam engages the services of an Advisory Body Commission, or ABC, that assist member units in keeping true to their stated purpose. The ABC body act as the ultimate managing authority in terms of being the final arbiter of all issues of contention. It is not a managing authority. The ABC acts as brahmanas in the society in an advisory capacity, and in that role will give opinion on ecclesiastical matters. Individual temple authorities act as ksatriyas, or executive authority.
Daiva Varnashrama Sangam employs the open source methods so productively applied in other spheres of activity with astounding success, with the aim of achieving similar results of freedom of expression
Daiva Varnashrama Sangam will use and distribute, protect and preserve, the original, un-edited books of His Divine Grace, pre-1978.
While the Daiva Sangam adopts the seven stated purposes of His Divine Grace in establishing his society, the Daiva Sangam places emphasis on establishing the Daiva culture, also known as Daiva-varnashrama, with the aim of freeing energies to achieve pure transcendental consciousness and Krishna rasa.
Daiva Varnashrama Sangam will apply the articles of the Direction of Management (DOM) established by Srila Prabhupada in 1971, requiring a vote of the local devotees to establish and change the TP, and the ABC.
Daiva Varnashrama Sangam admits any person as a member who agrees to follow the principles of its charter; rejecting only those who create social disturbances
